From the pages of a girl who is ambitious, excited, anxious and awaiting her next and the very first big step into career. With placements up the sleeve and project fast-pacing, it is easy to get lost into the very busy world that doesn't know where it is rushing. When I start thinking of the career choices I have, I tend to go clumsy and wonder if everyone gets as lucky as to pursue their career in the same line of their passion. I have come to realizing the fact that, one always has the choice of creating interest in what they do. What gets me there? A little motivation does the trick.

How can I motivate myself to work hard?
It gets a little difficult to shake off the retiring feeling and build self efficacy.

Find the Purpose:
When I lose momentum on something that I do out of compulsion, I end up questioning the very purpose of having chosen to do it in the first place. Yes, I try to find out the sole purpose of doing something and phrasing it in a way that would make me want to do it. I also try giving various dimensions to the benefits that I would earn, renders me with a higher degree of motivation.
Accountability Partner:
Accountability partnership has always worked for me. Trying to have a person you trust, to keep track of your progress, ensures being motivated. Somebody out there said “Surround yourself with people who push you, who challenge you, who make you laugh, who make you better, who make you happy." Let people know what your goal is. This might get you into peer pressure and gears our pace manifold.
Stretch yourself –Divert:
Sometimes our mind might play foul. There might be times when we love doing something and the foul mood of ours might pull it down. A
little caution here, switching mood might not really motivate. All that we need at this point of time would be start anew. What other than exerting our body gives a greater energy to both our mind and mood? Getting a little active and stretching around lets us start with a new mood which in turn aids us in being motivated.
Focus on the Bigger Picture:
Like I mentioned earlier there are chances of us getting lost into the work. This might slip the objectives off our hands and will land us nowhere. What gets us back on track would be to focus on the bigger picture. If a manager has a team that doesn't achieve their SLAs, the manager should probably focus on the bigger picture and try to coin out the reasons behind the team’s poor performance.
 Self Efficacy:
“Create the highest, grandest vision possible for your life, because you become what you believe." - Oprah Winfrey. Believe in you being the one; believe the goal is tailored for you to fit in and believe nobody can do it better than you. The motivation that comes from within is the best of all. There has never been the only right way to do something, there are always many ways in which one can work. Taking risk is fine, as no feeling like having tried something makes life worth living. Think of how the work in hand lets you shape tomorrow.

I’m already on it. Go make it happen. Better late than never.
